Will everything in the beta be free?

when the beta comes out over the summer, do u think they will make you pay for anything like games? i no the actual beta will be free, but wat if they charge per game? i no i wouldn't pay money for a game i can only play for about a month during the summer.

well yes the actual beta will be free, however there will be strict requirements for joining.

the reason beta will be free because the service is still buggy, and until they can fix the issue ( meaning they go retail) teh cannot charge the consumers for anything. having said that, i do think they can charge for the box though, with a promise tha tif the box needs to be updaetd, it will be done free of charge.

but they certainly get a discount on games and services.

plus they get huge bragging rights,

AND they get to try games before us mortals do..

I really hope that Beta ends up being completely free but I doubt it. It looks like they're going to have huge costs, and I really don't see why they would offer it completely free.

A handful of online services have a free trial on them, and I'm sure that this will be no exception. Still, if I get a good connection (assuming the company expands to my neck of the woods), I'll be on this like white on rice if I can play the beta for free.
